More about her at Ībdur-Rahman has four years experience as a lawyer and earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria where he served as President of Law Students' Society (LSS). She believes in equality and intersectionality and uses her network as a UNAOC and KECTIL Fellow to raise awareness on these issues in creative ways such as podcasts, interviews, and workshops. Shadi has directly trained +1000 young people in Iran and traveled to 10 countries to share her experiences with youth around the world.įluent in 5 languages, she has collaborated with several international bodies and UN agencies such as UNOY, UNICEF, UNIC, the Council of Europe, and ALDA. Their work focuses on youth leadership, capacity development, and intercultural communication for peacebuilding. Shadi has founded the first youth-led and women-led peacebuilding organization in Iran: PeaceMentors. She is originally from Iran and recently graduated with a Double Joint Master’s Degree in Migration and Mediation that took her on a journey across Italy, France, and Tunisia. Shadi Rouhshahbaz is a young peacebuilder and consultant on non-formal education. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI), USA. Her non-profit became the first recipient of President George Manneh Weah National Peace Prize Award 2018 in celebration of the 15 years of unbroken peace in Liberia. She’s the Founder& Executive Director (2008-Present) of a non-profit, youth-led peacebuilding organization Messengers of Peace- Liberia Inc managing over one thousand five hundred Young Volunteer Peace Messengers. Gwen was recognized as Time Magazine 2019 -Top Eight Young Reformers Across the Globe Shaping the World and 2019-Top Seven-African Women Breaking Barriers in Peacebuilding in Africa.

Recently selected and featured as the overall winner of the President’s Awards, to become 2020 addition to City, University of London gallery of Extraordinary Women achieving the extraordinary since 1894. Myers has over ten years of experience working in Peace and non-violence education among in and out of school youth. The organization has directly impacted more 10,000 people through different peacebuilding programs.

The Center also provides youth leadership training, conflict transformation and peacebuilding activities for community members and religious groups. With a capacity of 30 people, the Center is the only public library for a community of more than 100,000 people. LIFT-Liberia also runs the “Center for Peacebuilding and Research” in one of Monrovia’s largest slums. The organization also runs a youth-led media program “My Space” that highlights the activities of young people in their communities and brings young people, duty bearers and state actors face-to-face to discuss challenges young people face and inclusively address them. Since 2008, LIFT-Liberia runs peace clubs in ten high schools and community peace forums in Montserrado, Grand Cape Mount and Bomi Counties. Mohammed Foboi is the Founder and Executive Director of LIFT-Liberia, a youth-led peacebuilding and advocacy organization.
